Originally destined for the Brooks City base which has been so pivotal in the development of aviation and hyperbaric medicine, the USAF’s new Double Lock ended up finding a home just a short distance away in Wilford Hall Medical Centre at Lackland Air Force base.
The Double Lock is fitted with a toilet and sink in the Entrance Lock, has large flush fitting rectangular doors and utilises touch screen controls for chamber operation.
Fink also provided the LP Air System complete with twin compressors, volume tanks, refrigerated dryers and CO analysis.
Operational since early 2008.
