One of the most Recognizable features of a FE Facility is the rectangular chamber shape. The rectangular design provides maximum internal useable floor space for minimal external volume and therefore is more space efficient than an equivalent cylindrical design.
By comparison, the rectangular SL8 shown above is 20% smaller than a cylindrical vessel with the same useable floor area (shown in red). This will often enable a rectangular vessel to fit within a standard building floor height thus reducing installation costs. The rectangular shape enables the interior to be outfitted with a décor that simulates the balance of the hospital thus reducing patient anxiety and enhancing their comfort. |
